GREENFIELD — The Wilmington High School girls cross country team finished first in a quad meet at McClain and the Hurricane boys team took third.
Hali Hodge won for the girls in a time of 23:31, followed by Mallory Alden in 23:42, Kelli Jo Haley in 24:48, Amy Ashurst in 29:21, Amanda Usborne in 31:27 and Libby Wetterhan in 33:49. In boys action, Ethan Usborne finished in 20:44, followed by Matt Middleton in 20:57, Tommy Swank in 21:34, Nathan Giacobbi in21:56, Nico Muñoz in 23:35, Derek Zeckser in 24:38 and Matt Roberts in 26:03. In team action, the WHS girls were followed by Paint Valley, Hillsboro and McClain. In boys team scoring, Hillsboro was first, followed by Paint Valley, Wilmington and MCClain. In junior high action, WMS took second. Spencer Meredith led the young Hurricane in 15:03, followed by Nathan Tipton in 16:18, curtis Angst in 19:37, Stefan Thornberry in 20:12 and Tommy Lahmann in 24:00. The WMS girls team also took second. Morgan Shaffer led the young Lady Hurricane in 16:34, followed by Katelyn Wolary in 19:28, Taylor Gauche in 19:32, Taylor Neff in 20:04, Brittany Keller in 20:07, Kayla Rice in 20:11, Maddie Blandford in 20:17 and Courtney Martin in 23:55.
