The Wilmington High School volleyball team lost to Milford 25-13, 25-14, 25-6 in a Fort Ancient Valley Conference East Division match Thursday. Wilmington drops to 0-3 overall and 0-2 in the FAVC East. Milford is now 2-2 overall and 2-0 in the FAVCE. “We have to take a little something from each match and learn from it,” said WHS coach B.J. Joyce. “We’re still having fun. We’re not getting down on ourselves. Wilmington fell to 0-2 with a 25-10, 25-10, 25-19 loss Tuesday to Anderson in a Fort Ancient Valley Conference East Division match. “We didn’t compete a whole lot in the first two sets, but that third set we actually got something going,” said Lady Hurricane coach B.J. Joyce. “I’m really hoping this is a step in the right direction, a coming together as a team.” Jessi Robinson had six assists and Caci Moore had two blocks for WHS. The Wilmington High School volleyball team opened its season Saturday with a 25-13, 25-15, 25-14 loss to Washington Senior at the middle school gym. “They (WCH) had the fastest offense I’ve seen in a while at any level,” said WHS head coach B.J.
