ROSS — Unable to hang a first loss on Ross, the Wilmington High School boys soccer team dropped a 4-1 decision Tuesday night to the unbeaten Rams. Wilmington is 5-6 on the year. Ross is now 13-0 and has earned at least a share of the Scarlett Division title. “We played good,” WHS head coach Jeff Wiederhold said. “I don”t think it was our best game.”
The coach said the team speed of Ross was the difference in the game. “Their team speed determined the outcome of the game,” he said. “We couldn’t quite match up with their speed.” Kyle Imhulse scored the only WHS goal with an assist to Ty Carroll. Off a set-piece in the first half, Carroll served a ball to the 12-yard line, Wiederhold said, where Imhulse headed the ball into the back of the net. Wilmington will play at Xenia Saturday, reserve kickoff at 11 a.m. and varsity kickoff set for 1 p.m. Add as favourites (31) | Quote this article on your site | Views: 1670
