The Wilmington High School boys soccer team tied Northwest 0-0 Saturday at Alumni Field in a non-league match.

The Hurricane is now 1-0-1 on the season.

The game was one of missed chances for Wilmington.

Wilmington’s defense made a one-goal performance stand up Tuesday as the Hurricane boys soccer team opened its season with a 1-0 win over Valley View at Alumni Field.

“I thought our defense was excellent,” said WHS head coach Markus Carlson. “They didn’t threaten us at all.”

Nehemiah McKee tallied the only goal of the match, finding the back of the net with 29:09 remaining.
