MORROW — Wilmington flashed its strong mental game Thursday in a four-shot victory over Little Miami in a Fort Ancient Valley Conference East Division golf match on the par 35 back nine at Bel-Wood Country Club, 160 to 164. The Hurricane had several bad holes, but as coach Tim Martin put it, they didn’t let one bad hole lead to another. “We bounced back and didn’t hang our heads,” Martin said. “It seemed like there were double bogies being followed by birdies and at match’s end we had outscored them by four strokes and that’s what counted.” Be first to comment this article | Add as favourites (2) | Quote this article on your site | Views: 10 |
