KINGS MILLS — Kings used a big punt return and interception return late in the game to hold off Wilmington, 38-14, in Fort Ancient Valley Conference football Friday night.

The Hurricane (2-6 overall, 1-2 in the FAVC Cardinal Division), rallied from a 21-0 deficit to within 24-14 early in the fourth quarter.

But Derrick Harris returned a punt 57 yards for a touchdown and then picked off a Brandon Arehart pass and returned it 54 yards for a score to clinch the win for Andy Olds’ Knights (5-3 overall, 3-0 in the FAVC).

Arehart finished the game 18 for 34 passing for 180 yards and a score, a 16 yard pass to Devon Curtis in the fourth quarter that brought WHS within 10, 24-14. That scoring drive was setup by an 82-yard kickoff return by Nyles Williams.

Kyle Blakeman caught eight passes from Arehart for 112 yards. Williams caught four for 22 yards.
