MONROE — With three top 10 finishers, the Wilmington girls cross country team placed second Monday at the Alex Fultz Invitational cross country meet.

Mallory Alden was fifth overall and was followed closely by Ashley Burton, who was sixth, and Ali Vance who was ninth.

In the final team standings, Wilmington scored 55 points while race winner Fenwick had 45 points.
