CINCINNATI — Wilmington dropped its second Fort Ancient Valley Conference game of the season Saturday to Walnut Hills, 51-21. WHS is 7-2 overall and 2-2 in the FAVC. Walnut Hills is 7-1 overall and 4-0 in the FAVC “They’re a real nice ballclub,” WHS head coach Butch Hooper said of Walnut Hills. “But we never backed off. We competed and I was real proud of that.”
Chelsea Earley led Wilmington with six points. With Caitlyn Craycraft already out with an injury, WHS was further short-handed with Marci Sodini nursing an injury and playing limited minutes, then Lindsey Crowe injuring her ankle and missing part of the first half and all of the second half, Hooper said.
