Kings got off to a fast start and cruised to a 57-31 win over Wilmington in Fort Ancient Valley Conference girls basketball action Saturday afternoon at the middle school gym. The loss leaves Wilmington at 5-1 overall and 2-1 in the FAVC Cardinal Division. Kings is also 5-1 overall, 2-1 in the FAVC Cardinal. Shelby Kies of Kings led all scorers with 21 points, including 13 in the first half as the Lady Knights built a 36-15 advantage.

Wilmington did not have anyone in double figures scoring. Amina Affini led WHS with eight points. The Lady Hurricane did not shoot well, making 11 of 44 from the field and 8 of 22 from the free throw line. Kings, on the other hand, was 20 for 39 from the field and 13 for 19 at the line. Marci Sodini led all players with 10 rebounds.
