The Rodger O. Borror eighth grade girls basketball team was defeated by Loveland, 20-18, in the championship game of the Fort Ancient Valley Conference tournament. The Wilmington team finishes its season with a 16-1 record. This squad had back-to-back unbeaten regular seasons. The young Lady Hurricane led the entire game until the final 50 seconds, coach Glen Blessing said. MORROW — The Rodger O. Borror eighth grade girls basketball team advanced to the championship game of the Fort Ancient Valley Conference tournament with a 46-30 win Tuesday over Little Miami. The Lady Hurricane were scheduled to face Loveland 6 p.m. Wednesday in the championship game. Against Little Miami, Wilmington was led by Brianna Camp who had 14 points and four rebounds. Wilmington is now 15-0 and will meet Little Miami 5:45 p.m. Tuesday in the semifinal round. This was the closest game of the season for the Borror girls, coach Glen Blessing said.
