On Saturday, Feb. 2, the junior high SCOL wrestling championship was decided at London High School. The top three individuals in each weight class and the top three teams received awards. It was a great day of wrestling with some great young talent taking to the mats. The future of SCOL wrestling is looking bright.
The Washington Blue Lions came away with their second consecutive SCOL title, and their second consecutive SCOL tournament, having five individual weight class champions. The Lions also swept their SCOL opponents in the league duals. The final record for the Blue Lions is 15-1 in duals and 54-6 overall. It was an incredible season. Some wrestlers will continue to wrestle into the postseason in hopes of qualifying and placing at the state tournament to be held in March. Final SCOL results 1. Washington 181.5 points 2.
