”Cane track wins dual meet with Blue Lions PDF Print E-mail

On the warmest day yet of the 2008 spring sports season, the Washington Blue Lion track team hosted a dual meet with Wilmington.

The Hurricane won the boys meet, 91 points to 46.

The Blue Lions recorded sixth first place finishes.

Alex Wilson won the 110-meter hurdles in a time of 15.92. Wilson also won the high jump, clearing 5’ 10”.

Ben Parks won the long jump with a distance of 18’ 2 1/2”. Parks also took first in the 100-meter dash in 12.16.

Parks and Wilson were also teammates on the winning 4 x 100-meter relay team, along with Zerreyan Harris and Stefan Shields. Their winning time: 46.55.

Tim Keller won the 1600-meter run for the Blue Lions in a time of 5:17.20.

The Blue Lions are at the Springfield Shawnee Invitational Thursday.
