HILLSBORO — The Washington Lady Blue Lion varsity volleyball team traveled to Hillsboro’s Patriot Center, on the campus of Southern State Community College where they faced Hillsboro in an SCOL match Thursday, Sept. 25.

Washington improved to 12-4 overall, 7-1 in league play with a three-game match win.

Scores of the games were: 25-12, 25-12 and 25-17.

Statistically for Washington, Jessica Lewis had six ace serves and 14 set assists; Madison Brown had four ace serves and 15 set assists; Ashley Baker had nine kills and five ace serves and Brittany Thomas had nine kills and four ace serves.

“As a team, we have improved with our ball control,” Washington head coach Doug Mace said. “I thought we did a good job of speeding the game up.”

Washington is taking part in the Greeneview tri-match today and at McClain High School for an SCOL match Tuesday at 5:30 p.m.
