Washington volleyball drops 5-game match to Wilmington PDF Print E-mail

WILMINGTON — The Washington Lady Blue Lion varsity volleyball team lost a tough five-game match at Wilmington Saturday, Aug. 30, 2008.

Scores of the games were: 25-21, 19-25, 25-12, 21-25 and 12-15.

Washington, now 2-1 overall and 1-0 in the SCOL, hosts Hillsboro for a league match this evening with the j-v starting at 5:30 p.m.

“We had our chances but just could not pull it out at the end,” Washington head coach Doug Mace said. ” We will use this loss as a learning experience and try to improve.”

For Washington, Brittany Thomas had 11 kills and four ace serves.

Ashley Baker had eight kills and two aces and Madison Brown added four ace serves.

Washington will host McClain for another SCOL match-up Thursday at 5:30 p.m.
