The Washington Blue Lion boys soccer team (3-2, 1-0 SCOL) continued their winning ways Saturday afternoon with a 7-0 defeat of the Clark Southeastern Trojans at Gardner Park.

While the Lions dominated the possession in the first half, outshooting the visitors 12-1, their only goal came at the 27 minute mark by senior captain Tyler Kimmet.

Washington found the net with more consistency in the opening fifteen minutes of the second half with three more scores by Kimmet.

Robert Heiny, Dillon Justice, and Jeremy Mesker picked up one goal apiece. At the other end of the field, goalkeeper Sean Rickey and his defense earned the shutout.

The Lions, winners of three straight, look to carry their momentum into this week’s SCOL matches with Hillsboro (this evening) and McClain (Thursday evening). Both matches are scheduled for Gardner Park at 5:30 p.m.
