The Washington Blue Lion golf team began the 2008 season on a winning note Tuesday, defeating East Clinton at Snow Hill Country Club, 181 to 205. For the Blue Lions, Jordy Young was medalist with a 43. Connor Johnson shot a nine-hole score of 44 and Seth Baker shot a 45.
Malcolm Miller shot a 49 for the Blue Lions. Josh Thevenot carded a 54; Trevor Patton shot a 57 and Max McKinney at 59. For East Clinton, the low score of 46 was turned in by Dustin Cunningham. Dylan Eltzroth shot a 50, followed by Naveen Sharma, 55; Trevor Stevenson, 54; Nick Tissot, 56 and Gerald Cutauro, 59.
