The Van Wert Legion played Ottawa Wednesday night and fell by a 12-8 count. Craig Carder started the game striking out two batters, while also issuing two walks. He also took the loss. Eric Lirot pitched one inning and walked one. Mike Evans pitched three innings, striking out two batters.

The Van Wert Legion played the Findlay Legions this past Sunday in a DH, but only got one game in due to rain. VW won 7-4. Josh Miller started the game and pitched three innings, walking one and striking out four. Damon Joseph pitched three innings and also picked up the win.  Damon had two strikeouts and no walks. Craig Carder picked up the save in the seventh striking out one batter in that inning.
