*Cougars' summer diamond men end season
CELINA - The Van Wert Cougars fell just short of reaching the ACME Baseball State Tourney, as the locals lost a tough one to Coldwater by a 1-0 count in eight innings. Eric Miller (eight innings, one run (unearned), five hits, no walks, no strikeouts, and one hit batter) absorbed the setback for VW. Bill Geeslin took the win for the Cavaliers, going the distance, while only allowing three hits with a walk and 13 strikeouts. The Cougars' summer season ends at 14-11.

*LIMA WARRIORS TO HOLD FREE YOUTH FOOTBALL CLINIC
Event will be held at Lima Stadium.
LIMA - The area's premiere Semi-Pro Football Team, the Lima Warriors, will hold a FREE youth football clinic at Lima Stadium, Saturday, July 26th. The event is free to all Lima area youth ages 8-12. The camp will begin at 12:00 PM that afternoon, with registration taking place from 11:00-11:45 AM.
The camp will be instructed by Warriors players and the Warriors coaching staff
Members of the media are also welcome to attend to conduct interviews or take photos/video.
The Warriors, who play in the United States Football Alliance, will play against the Ohio Outlawz that evening at Lima Stadium. Kick off is 7:05 PM. Admission is $7 for adults. Children 12 and under will get in free.

*Lady Lancers' volleyball team does well at BGSU Camp
BOWLING GREEN - The Lincolnview volleyball team recently returned from volleyball camp at Bowling Green State University. The team received a first place finish in tier division with a record of 5-1. The camp was under the direction of BGSU head coach Denise Van Dewalle. Stacy Giessler received the best hitting and passing award in the division and was also voted the team's 'hustler' award winner by their camp coach, BGSU's Carrie Mitchell. Ayla Eley received the 'coaches' award from Coach Mitchell.
