Van Wert/St. John's volleyball

The Delphos St. John's Lady Blue Jays defeated Van Wert three games to none by the scores of: 14-25, 19-25, 16-25, in volleyball openers for both schools.

Crestview/Lincolnview/Paulding/LCC boys golf

A four-way Northwest Conference bout played out at The Woods Golf Course on Monday.

Lima Central Catholic won the quad with a score of 148, while Lincolnview was second at 169 and Paulding third at 177. Crestview was fourth at 190.

Jon Goetz and Austin Stolly, both of LCC, were the round's medalists each shooting a 36. Brandon French and TJ Sims both added 38s for the the Thunderbirds.

Crestview's Jamin Rager shot a 39 to lead the Knights while Taylor Hoehn's 41 led the Lancers. Brady Schroeder and Zach Dysinger each shot 42 to lead the Panthers.

Drew Doner (42), Pierce Wolters (43) and Caleb Girod (43) rounded out the scoring for Lincolnview. Jarrett Upchurch (46), Tyler Clifton (52) and Doug Rhoades (53) rounded out the scoring for Crestview.

Shane Lumpkins (43) and Devan Bermejo (50) also scored for Paulding.

With the quad, LCC improves to 5-0 overall and 3-0 in the NWC. Lincolnview is now 9-2 and 6-1 while Crestview is 4-3 and 1-3. Paulding improves to 8-2 and 4-1.
