*Van Wert Girl's Tennis Team announcement: VAN WERT -- Any Van Wert High School student interested in playing tennis on the girls tennis team this season should attend open hitting at Smiley Park on Tuesday and Thursday nights from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. The teams' official practices will begin on August 4. ----- *VW Legion falls out of district competition: VAN WERT - The VW Legion fell from the district tourney Tuesday night, as Sidney posted a14-4, run-rule victory against the locals to advance to Wednesday evening's district final with the Lima Legion.
