DELPHOS ST. JOHN’S 55, VAN WERT 43:
DELPHOS -- Jacob Bagley led all scorers with 21 points (four 3-pointers) for Van Wert (3-5) and teammate Jake Olson had 14, but it was not enough as the host Blue Jays (4-0) came away with a hard-fought 55-43 victory over the Cougars. A total of eight players scored for St. John’s in the victory, as Brandon Hemker canned three 3-pointers and scored 11 points for the Blue Jays, while teammate Scott Recker added 9 points.
The Cougars only trailed 26-24 at the break before the Blue Jays took control in the second half to collect the win. St. John’s out-pointed VW 15-10 in the third stanza, and then sealed the deal by ending the contest on a 14-8 run. Overall, it was a three-point shooting contest, as the Jays canned a total of seven behind the arc, while the Cougars made six treys.

MILLER CITY 72, CRESTVIEW 63:
MILLER CITY – Tony Springer tallied a game-high 28 points for Crestview, but in the end the Knights could not compete with the balanced team scoring effort by Miller City, falling 72-63 to the ‘Cats.
Cody Vennekotter dominated the paint for Miller City, scoring 21 points while collecting 15 boards to give the ‘Cats the necessary push to a win over the visiting Knights. Kyle Niese also had 12 points for the MC-Cats, while teammates Rusty Lammers and Austin Konst each added nine markers. Steven Rickard and Jordan Gibson contributed 12 and 11 points to the Crestview cause.
Miller City only led 27-23 at the break, but a 27-12 third quarter tear by the ‘Cats sealed the deal. With the win, Miller City improves to 6-1, while the Knights fall to 1-6 on the season.

DELPHOS – The Delphos Jefferson Wildcats easily handled their counterparts from Lima Temple Christian Saturday night by a score of 69-34.
Matt Gerdeman’s 13 points led the Wildcats (4-3), while teammates Jordan Jettinghoff and Josh Miller each added 12 markers for Delphos Jefferson. A total of 10 Jefferson players etched their names in the scoring ledger. Tyler Sutton scored 17 points for Temple Christian.
Jefferson sealed the deal in this one fast, bolting to first half leads of 19-7 and 36-11. Overall, Jefferson tallied six 3-pointers on the night.

OTTOVILLE 70, LINCOLNVIEW 61:
OTTOVILLE – The Lincolnview Lancers stayed with area-power Ottoville for the first half, but in the end the Big Green prevailed by a 70-61 count.
Andrew Koch’s 16 points paced Ottoville (7-1), while teammate Jacob Landin had 10 points and 10 rebounds and Nathan Turnwald scored 11. Jordan Simpson finished with 20 points, while teammates Ryan Frey had 16 markers and Kyle Thatcher added 14 markers for Lincolnview (3-4).
Lincolnview jumped out of the gates fast, bolting to a 19-10 first quarter advantage. The Lancers still led at the break 35-27 before the Big Green made its move. Ottoville came out storming in the third stanza, recording 25 points while holding the Lancers to 15. The Big Green then sealed the deal with an 18-11 run to end the contest.
