GIRLS BASKETBALL:
LCC 63, Wayne Trace 50
LIMA – The Wayne Trace Lady Raiders traveled to Lima Monday night to take on the Lady T-Birds of LCC and were sent home with a 63-50 setback. A slow start doomed the Lady Raiders in this one as LCC bolted out to a 22-6 first quarter advantage. From that point, Wayne Trace (6-2) out-pointed LCC 44-41 the rest of the way, but it was too little, too late for the Haviland girls.
Liz DePalma led LCC (5-5) with 21 points that included three 3-pointers, while teammates Jo Jo Krieg and Mary Fisher added 15 and 10 markers, respectively. Kacee Hockenberry recorded 15 points for Wayne Trace, while JoEllen Fickel and Janelle Davis each added 10.

CELINA 62, PARKWAY 43:
CELINA – The Parkway Lady Panthers hit the road to Celina Monday night and were dealt a 62-43 setback to the host Lady ‘Dogs. Celina’s Kelsey Waterman scored 16 points and Cenzie Yoder added 15 to pace the Lady ‘Dogs.
Celina led 20-12 after the first quarter and 41-20 at the half. Celina’s deadeye shooting at the charity stripe was a main factor in their win, as the Lady ‘Dogs hit an amazing 12-of-13 at the foul line.
Hannah Harshman led Parkway with 15 points, while teammates Sara Luth and Jamie Guggenbiller tallied 11 markers apiece. No records were reported.

BOYS BASKETBALL:
Hicksville 58, Paulding 52
PAULDING – The Paulding Panthers fell to Hicksville Monday night by a count of 58-52. Paulding jumped out to a 22-16 first quarter advantage, but an 18-4 run by Hicksville in period number two spelled doom for the Panthers. Hicksville out-pointed Paulding by a total of 12 points (28-16) in the middle two quarters to escape with the “W”.
Josh Vandemark scored 15 points and Josh Flanary tossed in 14 to pace Hicksville. Bryant Troyer scored 16 points (four 3-pointers) for Paulding, while teammate Dylon Welch added 11.
