VAN WERT - Kelsey Nedderman netted 12 points to help lift Crestview to a 46-45 victory over Wayne Trace in the McDonalds Tip-Off Tournament championship game at Van Wert on Saturday.
Jo Thompson and Melissa Eickholt each scored 10 for Crestview, while teammates Carly Lichtensteiger and Rachel Hall each chipped in with seven points. Leading Wayne Trace was Kacee Hockenberry with 10 points, Sara Priest with nine points, while teammates Elyse Myers and Renee Bidlack each added eight points.
In the consolation game, Ottoville beat Van Wert 44-27. Kari Beining scored 14 for the Big Green while Tasha Kaufman had 11 points. Molly Gamble led the Lady Cougars with 10 points.
DELPHOS JEFFERSON 33, ANTWERP 25:
Mallorie Wilson tallied 12 points while teammate Kristin Klausing netted 9 points as Delphos Jefferson won its opener, defeating Antwerp. The Lady Cats used a 23-9 scoring spurt in the third quarter to collect the win. Kelsey Bashore led Antwerp with 10 markers.
LEIPSIC 47, PANDORAGILBOA 41:
Megan Gerdeman scored 11 points to lift P-G to the victory while Kayla Nuveman had 12 points for Leipsic.
FORT JENNINGS 72, SPENCERVILLE 55:
Kate Vomlehdem scored 21 points for Fort Jennings in a season-opening win over host Spencerville. Leah Kimmet added 14 points and Taylor Wallenhorst had 12 points.
Amanda Brenneman had 16 points for Spencerville, Claire McConnell had 13 points, Lauren Kahle had 12 points and Brittany Kill added 10 points.
McCOMB 42, WAYNESFIELD 38:
Shelby Gilroy scored 14 points for Waynesfield in the nonleague loss to visiting McComb. Mackenzie Miller had 8 points for Waynesfield while Kelsey Williams and Brooke Shaw each had 6 points.
FORT RECOVERY 36, ST. MARYS 25 (OT):
Joanna Snider scored 13 points for Fort Recovery, which outscored host St. Marys 11-0 in overtime. Katie Burke netted 12 points for the Roughriders.
MILLER CITY 54, OTTAWAGLANDORF 42:
Ashley Schroeder's 14 points paced Miller City in the victory while Marci Wenziger added 12 points. Dana Kaufman had 9 points for Ottawa-Glandorf.
ADA 45, HARDIN NORTHERN 20:
Morgan Dumbaugh struck for 19 points to help Ada beat visiting Hardin Northern in nonleague play.
NEW BREMEN 60, NEW KNOXVILLE 34:
Stacy Timmerman scored 18 and Taylor Jones added 13 in New Bremen's win over visiting New Knoxville.
CONTINENTAL 62, LINCOLNVIEW 29:
The Continental Lady Pirates proved to have too much offense for the Lincolnview Lady Lancers Saturday, winning by a 62-29 count. "Obviously our turnovers hurt us especially in the second quarter. Give the girls credit, coming out of the lockerroom after halftime they cut the lead to 14. We must continue to work hard and get better each night out," Lancer Coach Dave Evans said.

She missed the hopeful chance of playing varsity due to lack of practice time for the season of 2008-2009. Katelyn Cook has played for Waynesfield Goshen since fourth grade and her fans have considered her a natural on the floor. When her time comes you will find she is one that will be watched by other schools.
