LIMA -- The weekly media notes from the Lima Warriors. •· Coach Parkins is available to the media, just call (419) 371-0423 or (419) or 371-9976 to set up an interview with him. There will be extra roster copies available in the press box. •· This Saturday will be a very busy day for the Lima Warriors as they will start the day with the Youth Kids Camp starting at 11 A.M. Media is invited to attend to shoot video or take pictures. The camp is free to area youth ages 8 through 12. The Warriors will also be honoring the 2007 National Championship team in a brief pregame ceremony at 7 P.M. with the national championship banner revealed. •· The Warriors return to Lima after defeating the Grand Rapids Thunder on July 19th, 24-6. This was the first win in team history against Grand Rapids and the second in as many weeks against a team from Grand Rapids (West Michigan Force was the other win). With the victory, Lima took over the number one seed in the playoff race & with a win this week, Lima clinches at least a share of the division title and a playoff berth. Should Lima win out, they will be the one seed and have home field advantage throughout the playoffs, with the exception of the league championship game. •· Lima is outscoring its opponents 234-50 through five games. Lima is averaging 33.4 points per game while giving up an average of 7.1. •· This is the first matchup between the Warriors & Outlawz. The Kenton based team is a split from the Ada Dark Knights team from a year ago. The Outlawz are currently 5-2 overall and sit in 2nd place in the Western Conference South Division. •· The Warriors will also be having a punt, pass, & kick competition at halftime of the game. The contest is open to any paid admission that is 18 or older. One person could go home with $15,000 Saturday. •· Kickoff is slated for 7:05 P.M. Gates open at 5:30 P.M. at Lima Stadium. The game will be available via online broadcast at the teams website (www.limawarriors.com) starting at 6:30pm with the pregame show. Aaron Matthews serves as the play by play voice. The Warriors travel to take on the Mount Carmel Fire next Saturday and come back home to wrap up the regular season against the Michigan Admirals on August 9th before starting playoff action.
