VAN WERT -- Below is an announcement from the area's premiere Semi-Pro Football Team.
LIMA WARRIORS SCRIMMAGE OPEN TO THE PUBLIC *Revised Schedule also released LIMA - The Lima Warriors are pleased to announce their annual "Silver & Black Game" will be held at Lima Stadium this Saturday Night May 10th. This scrimmage is also open to the public with free admission to the public. Kickoff is set for 7:05 PM. Members of the media are invited to attend as players & coaches will be available for interviews. The Warriors schedule has also been revised & will open defense of the United States Football Alliance (USFA) & 1AA National Championships on the road against the West Virginia Gladiators on Saturday May 31st in Morgantown, WV. The home opener will be the following weekend against the Mt. Carmel Fire. The Warriors will then take on the Ada Dark Knights at War Memorial Stadium in Ada followed by a trip to Akron to take on the Akron Jagz. The Jagz are now apart of the Eastern Conference after an influx of teams expanded the Western Conference. The Warriors will return home to take on a pair of Michigan teams as they will play the Wayne County Wolverines & and West Michigan Force before traveling to Grand Rapids to take on the Grand Rapids Thunder. The Warriors return home to take on the Ohio Outlawz before their final road game against the Mt. Carmel Fire in Cincinnati. Lima wraps up the regular season at home taking on the Michigan Admirals.
