COLDWATER - Nothing seemed to go in Van Wert's favor in Coldwater on Sunday in the ACME District Tournament. The calls, the breaks, the luck - all of it seemed to be going the wrong way.
COLDWATER - In their three previous games in this year's ACME tournament, Van Wert had taken care of business. The Cougars had combined solid defense with timely offense as they marched to a sectional title and a berth in the Coldwater Districts.
VAN WERT - It was a hit parade all the way around on Tuesday night at Smiley Park as the Van Wert and Troy Legion squads faced off in the regular season finale for each team.
CONVOY - Down a couple of starters and already assured of a spot in the ACME District tournament, the possibility of a letdown loomed over Van Wert in Tuesday's ACME sectional final in Convoy.
