CELINA -- The Crestview ACME baseball team went 3-0 over the weekend, defeating Celina, St. Marys, and Van Wert to claim the tournament held in Celina. The three wins improve the Knights to 10-0 on the season.
GAME ONE:
-The Knights defeated Celina 4-1. Ian Zollars picked up the victory going five innings, allowing one run on six hits with two strikeouts. Tony Springer and Ian Zollars collected doubles for the Knights.
GAME TWO:
-The Knights defeated St. Marys 8-3. Kyle Balliet earned the win going the full seven innings, allowing three runs on six hits with five strikeouts. Leading the Knights' offense were: Nick Ulrey went 3-for-3 from the plate in the game with three RBIs; Stephen Semer was 2-for-4 with two RBIs; while Jordan Speaks was 2-for-3.
GAME THREE:
-Crestview downed Van Wert 5-4. Ian Clay earned the win for Crestview. Clay went five innings, allowing two runs on three hits with four strikeouts. From the plate he was 2-for-3 with two RBI. Brad Miller was 2-for-2 and Speaks went 2-for-3.
