ANNA — This was one football game that both coaches preferred playing later than sooner. Kind of like a trip to the dentist. It’s necessary, but not without trepidation.
The Western Brown Broncos remained unbeaten in week seven on the gridiron, pounding Washington Court House for a 55-7 victory.
Western Brown seniors Shawn Davis and Travis Taylor combined for five of the Broncos eight touchdowns in Friday's win. Ryan Berry reached the end zone twice for Bronco scores, one on the ground and one off a pass from Taylor. Clayton Sapp also scored a touchdown for Western Brown in the win.
The Western Brown Broncos football team upped their record to 4-0 Friday night, but Friday's win didn't come easy, as they were taken into overtime by a determined East Clinton team on the road. A rousing game that ended in a 39-32 overtime victory for the Broncos.

The Western Brown Broncos continued to dominate on the gridiron in week two of high school football action, routing the Clermont Northeastern Rockets for a 39-0 victory Friday night at Kibler Stadium.

Another rousing season of high school football got underway Friday night, and the Western Brown Broncos were quick out the gate to grab a 28-14 win over the Hillsboro Indians. Last year, it took a last minute touchdown pass for the Broncos to escape Hillsboro with a narrow win, but this year it was a different story on the Broncos’ home turf.
