The Miami Trace Panthers are striving in practice this week as they prepare to host a familiar old rival, the Circleville Tigers, in the season-opener Friday night on what forecasters are calling for a hot afternoon, reminicsent of last year’s conditions. Miami Trace led in the ball game last year, 14-7 at the half. The Tigers had the upper hand in the second half last year, outscoring the Panthers 27-13 to post the final margin, 34-27. LEES CREEK — Miami Trace tennis bounced back from a loss at London on Tuesday afternoon as they traveled to East Clinton High School and won a non-league match with the Astros, five courts to zero. Miami Trace dominated the match without losing a single game through all three singles courts and the first doubles court. Sydney Wilson won at first singles, 6-0, 6-0 over Amber Boris.
