The Miami Trace tennis team improved to 3-1 in the SCOL with a 5-0 win at Madison Plains Tuesday, Sept. 2, 2008. At first singles, Sydney Wilson defeated Sarah McGraw, 6-3, 6-4. Second singles went to Jenna Cobb, 6-0, 6-0 over Nicole Porter.
At third singles, Kayla Fitzpatrick defeated Brianna Walker, 6-4, 6-0. Heidi Reiterman and Haley Hagler defeated Brooke Benning and Avery Davison at first doubles, 6-3, 6-0. At second doubles, Angel Balahtsis and Tabby Weidman beat Joelie Self and Tifani Simmons, 6-1, 6-0. In a reserve match, Miami Trace’s Lauren Wilt beat Lydia Lassiter, 8-3. Miami Trace, now 7-2 overall, hosts Wilmington today at 4 p.m.
