After suffering their first league loss of the season to the Fairfield Lady Lions last week, the Ripley-Union-Lewis-Huntington Lady Jays got back on the winning track Monday night by taking a 70-62 win over the New Richmond Lady Lions.

The Ripley-Union-Lewis-Huntington Blue Jays played host to Whiteoak High School Friday night, to claim a 34-31 victory over the Wildcats, a league win that didn’t come easy. Friday’s league win upped the Jays Southern Hills League record to 2-2 on the season and their overall record to 4-4.

Another season of Southern Hills League high school hoops is officially underway. High school girls basketball squads have already taken the court to do battle for an SHL title, and it’s impossible to accurately predict at this point in time who will come out on top at the end of the 2008-2009 season.
