Strengths for the Season: "We are striving to be a more balanced attack from the inside out this year with returning two key post players. We will be looking for scoring, rebounding, assists, and defensive pressure from experienced letter-winners and newcomers," Coach Michelle Vorst said.
Weaknesses for the Season: "The team has little experience in game situations and consistency from the Panthers will be looked upon to the team. Every team is different and the dynamics change each year, and one of the fun things about coaching is watching a team find its identity," Coach Michelle Vorst said.
Overall Outlook: "The Lady Panthers basketball team will consist of some familiar faces and a lot of new faces. With only three players returning from last year, the new players will be counted on to mature early. The Lady Panthers will have size, athleticism, players that can play multiple positions on the floor and players that play hard. Playing an up and down tempo will be fun to play and the girls look to work hard to develop their defensive intensity! With a lot of road games early and playing in a competitive conference, the girls will have to be ready every day to get better individually and as a team. Hard work, dedication, and discipline are aspects that the team will need to count on daily for the team to succeed this season," Coach Michelle Vorst said.
Conference Outlook: The Northwest Conference will be once again a difficult league to compete in. Pre-season favorite will be Crestview as they come off their appearance in the Final Four from last season. Many teams in the league will return key players and letter-winners which will prove to be a very competitive league," Coach Michelle Vorst said.
