VAN WERT -- Parkway's girls softball regional semi-final results are listed below.
Parkway 1, TVS 0 (Regional Semi-Final)
The Parkway Lady Panthers are just one step away from a trip to the state softball tournament, as they slid past Twin Valley South 1-0 in a defensive struggle. Parkway (18-4) will now play in the regional championship Saturday at 12 noon against the winner of Thursday's game between Ansonia and Triad. Twin Valley South ends its season at 20-5.
Emily Crowell finished with 10 strikeouts and allowed two hits, two walks and no runs to pick-up the win for Parkway. Parkway scored the lone run in the bottom of the fifth when Jamie Guggenbiller singled home Katlyn Smith.
Twin Valley South pitcher Emily Froment allowed just three hits and a walk while striking out six.
