O-G Titans to STATE; defeat Archbold, 69-58 PDF Print E-mail

BOWLING GREEN – The Ottawa-Glandorf Titans defeated the Blue Streaks from Archbold by a 69-58 count in the BGSU Division III Regional Finals Sunday night. 

The Titans came close to posting four players in the double-digit scoring column, as Justin Schomaeker and Jake Meyer led the Titans with 20 points apiece, while teammates Taylor Pothast and Luke Bellman chipped in with eight markers each. Gene Goering led Archbold with 20 points on the night. O-G jumped out to a 14-10 first quarter lead and never looked back. The Titans ended the first half on a 20-11 run to take a commanding 34-21 advantage into the locker room. Archbold then won the third stanza 16-11, cutting their deficit to nine points at 45-37. The Titans regained their composure though and sealed the deal, ending the game by taking the final eight minutes of action, 24-21. With the win, O-G improves to 21-5, while Archbold bows out of tourney play with a respectable 20-4 mark.
