HAVILAND -- The Northwest Ohio Basketball Club will be holding team tryouts for current grades 9-11 boys on Sunday, March 30, at 2:00 p.m. at Wayne Trace High School, 4915 U.S. 127 near Haviland. Teams will play in tournaments in: Fort Wayne, Ind.; Columbus, OH; Dayton, OH; Indianapolis, Ind.; and Louisville, Ky. COLUMBUS – The Wayne Trace Raiders dream of winning their second state boy’s basketball title under Al Welch’s 33-year reign as head coach came to an abrupt halt Thursday night, as the locals fell to number one-ranked New Knoxville 62-41 in the Division IV State Semi-Finals at the Schottenstein Center in Columbus.
