LEXINGTON - A few area track and field athletes qualified for the state meet after one day of events at the Division II Lexington Regional Meet. The top four placers in each event advance to the state tournament next week at Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium in Columbus on the Campus of The Ohio State University.

VAN WERT -- The Van Wert baseball program recently held their awards banquet at the First Federal Lecture Hall in the Niswonger Performing Arts Center.  Highlights of the night included recognizing 22 scholar athletes as well as a varsity team GPA of 3.2.
