WASHINGTON C.H. - The Washington Blue Lions had a solid pitching performance from Devin Frost and another night of equally solid defense as they posted a 12-2 win over the McClain Tigers in five innings on Wednesday.
Frost allowed four hits and two runs (both unearned). He did not walk or strikeout a batter.
Garrett Case started and suffered the loss for McClain. He pitched 3 2/3 innings, with 12 hits, 11 earned runs, four walks and four strikeouts.
The Blue Lions are now 4-0 on the year, 2-0 in the SCOL. The Tigers stand at 3-2 overall, 1-2 in the SCOL.
For McClain, Luke Kingsolver hit a triple, while Justin Smith, Donnie Willman and Cameron Coleman each collected one hit.
The game was moved to Washington due to field conditions at McClain.
The Tigers will face Miami Trace on Friday at home at 5 p.m. On Saturday, McClain will face Williamsburg and Xenia Christian in a tri-DH contest at 12 p.m.
