Jackie Hauke had a key block with 57 seconds left and Halsey Ward knocked in a 3 with 11 seconds to play and the Lady Quakers fell by one, 73-72, to end the Lady Quakers season. ------- WImikngton 67, Washignton 63 with 5:56 to play. ------- Wilmington 54, Washington 45 with 11:56 to play in game. ------- We are here and the broadcast is underway. III women's national basketball tournament.
The Wilmington College Lady Quakers will face Washington-St. Louis Univ. 5 p.m. Friday in the opening round of the tournament.
The pregame show begins at 4:30 p.m.

Of course, Wilmington won the national championship in 2004 at Virginia Beach, Va.
