Darrell and I are at Lebanon HS for Wilmington's Div II sectional tournament game against Oakwood. We are watching CJ-Marshall, the winner of which will face the WHS-Oakwood winner at 4 p.m. Saturday at LHS. ----- Rollins and Berlin with 10 each as WHS leads 31-17 after one quarter. The Hurricane had 3 3-pointers, 2 by Berlin and 1 by Arehart. ---- WHS 42 Oakwood 26 at the half. Rollins with 15 and Berlin with 12 for the Hurricane. --- I had to turn it over to Liermann for the final half. I've seen more than my share of blowout basketball this week. First three games were decided by an average of more than 35 points. This one tonight is going the same route. After three, Wilmington 62 and Oakwood 38. UGH!! --- Mercifully it is over. Wilmington 81 and Oakwood 47. Rollins finished with 29. WHS plays 4 pm Saturdayagainst Marshall.Pre-game on OLR begins at 3:45 pm with tipoff set for 4 pm. We're getting ready for East CLinton boys tournament game against Anna at UD Arena. --- After one quarter, Anna 21 East Clinton 9. EC had 6 turnovers in the opening period. --- At the half, Anna 35 East Clinton 16. Derek Billing of ANna has 15. For East Clinton, Gerber had 7 and Huffman has 4. --- After three, Anna 50 East Clinton 26. --- It's final at UD Arena, Anna 67 East Clinton 33. For EC, Reed Gerber 15 points. Pope, Dunbar transfer, 13 for PS. --- At the half, Preble Shawnee 36 Blanchester 19. Pope has 16 and has dominated inside on the offensive end. --- End of three, PS 53, BHS 26. --- Final PS 72 Blan 40. Not a pretty one from the get go. ---- After 1st Qtr, CM 10 Madison 9. --- At the half, Madison 29 Massie 18. Madison went on 13-0 run to break it open. --- After three, Madison 46 Massie 30. 8-0 run by Mohawks really hurt after Cm battled back within 11 after falling back early in the third --- Its final Madison 64 Massie 39. Blanchester is down 19-17 but trailed early 9-0 and then again 15-7 but the resilient Wildcats rallied to the point they had the ball with a chance to tie or take the lead. We are rarin' and ready to go from Walnut hills HS for Wilmington and Walnut Hills Part 2 of back to back games. Hurricane won Friday 63-51 and now has a 1 game lead in FAVC Cardinal. A WHS win tonight would guarantee Wilmington of no worse than a share of the conference title. The Hurricane doesn't want to share. They want it out-right. Tip at approximately 7:30 pm. ----- We'll be a few minutes later than 7:30 on varsity tip. JV game has inexplicably gone into overtime. Honestly, sub-varsity OT games should be banned. ----- Walnut hills wins JV game in OT 63-54. Varsity tip at 7:50 approximately. ----- Wilmington scores first 7 points in quarter, not quite like last night's 11-0 to start but WHS leads 13-6 after one. Berlin 5 points but 2 fouls in the quarter so he went to the bench late. ----- whs 50 walnut 24. unbelievable another defensive clinic overall and a monster third quarter. ----- WHS 63 Walnut 49 to sweep and earn at least a share of the Cardinal Divison Crown. WHS 8-0 with 2 to play. Walnut 7-2 with 1 to play. Brandon Arehart had a big game for WHS. Hurricane at Kings on Tuesday then at Tuprin Friday and home with Lakota West next Saturday. We have arrived at the Schott and are ready to go for another big HS basketball game with the WIlmington Huricane.... Stay tuned. ---- First quarter is in the books. Rollins makes 2 free throws with 0:00 on the clock. DeSales leads it 13-12 over Wilmington. ---- DeSales 31 Wilmington 25 at the half. Wilmington late turnover really hurt. Rollins 9 and Williams 9.. DeSales hit 52 percent from field in first half. WHS made just 37.5 FG. ---- Wilmington rallies in tthird quarter to tie the game going into the fourth quarter, 36-36. ---- DESales 48 Wilmington 46 with 2:35 to play in the game. ---- DeSales 50 Wilmington 48 with 43.1 seconds to play. ---- We are tied at 50-50 and going to Overtime. Rollins 20 points 5 assist 3 steals and 3 rebounds. Heard with 11 points 6 rebounds. Nick Kellogg son of Clark has 21. Adam Griffin son of Archie has 13 and re rebounds. ---- Wilmington 56 DeSales 56 with 19.3 left. WHS ball we are ina timeout ---- We are going to 2 OT tied at 56-56. Lob to Nyles off the inbound was close but no .... --- In 2OT WHS falls to DeSales 65-62. Rollins has 30 and Heard with 11 and Williams with 9. Getting ready for Wilmington game with Miller Grove out of Georgia. Tipoff set for 6:28 pm.... --- Back and forth early. WHS down by 6-5. ---- Miller Grove 10 Wilmington 9 at end of first quarter. --- Miller Grove 26 Wilminton 21 at the half. ---- Not a good quarter for Wilmington. Miller Grove just outhustled WHS on the ofensive end and had several secnod and third chance points. After three it is 43-28 in favor of MIller Grove. ---- Final score ...
