Rollins gets 2 yards on 4th and inches to clinch it for the Hurricane. WHS wins 37-32 to snap a 5 game losing streak.

Feine of Amelia scores from 7 yards out to make it 37-32 with 2:18 to play. The Barons are going for 2 but it fails as Brady Camp makes the tackle shy of the end zone.

Blakeman catches his 2nd TD of the game, this one a 41 yarder. Duquette lined up for the PAT as the fireworks go off at Williams stadium. The PAT is good to make it 37-26 with 6:25 to play.

Cooley goes 8 yards for an Amelia TD. PAT is no good so it is WHS 30 Amelia 26 with 7:22 to play in the game. It's a nailbiter

A David Duquette 23 yard field goal was the only WHS points in the third but it gives the Hurricanea 30-20 advantage heading in to the final period.

Amelia onside kick to start the half and recovers. The drive was culminated by a Tyler Feine 4 yard TD run. Schwalbach's 2 Pt conversion makes it 27-20 in favor of the Hurricane.

At the half, it's Wilmington 27 and Amelia 12. Arehart 3 TD pass. Amelia 90 yard KOR to start game.

WHS 264 yards offense, Amelia 157. Rollins 10 for 104 rushing. Arehart 8-9 passing for 130 and 3 TDs. Williams 4-52 with 1 TD, Blakeman 3-45 with 1 TD and Rollins 1-33 with 1 TD.

WHS notches another score with 28 seconds to play in the first half. Arehart another TD pass, this third of the game, to Nyles Williams good for 17 yards. 5 plays 60 yards in 1:30. WHS up 27-12 after PAT is blocked.

The Amelia defensive coach is in a wheel chair. He goes out on the field in the wheel chair during timeouts.

Arehart to Blakeman 39 yards scoring pass play. Duquett on for the PAT and it's good and WHS leads 21-12 with 4:19 to play in the half.

Rollins goes 85 yards on punt return ... but it's waived off by a penalty.

First quarter in the books ... WHS 14 Amelia 12. After a wild and wooly start things slowed a bit but it still looks like the offense of both teams is in high gear.

Rollins a beautiful 43  yard run for a touchdown at 7:24. Duquete PAT and it's 14-12 Hurricane. 3 play 58 yard drive in 56 seconds. 3 scoring drives from scrimmage 4 plays 44 yards in 1:26, 4 plays 60 yards in 1:47 and now 3 plays 58 yards in 56 seconds. WOW!!!

Amelia comes right back going through the WHS defense with little trouble. At 8:25 the Barons re-take the lead at 12-7. Dalton Morrel stops the 2 point conversion so it stands 12-7 Amelia.

WHS answers Arehart to Rollins 33 yard pass play to tie it up. Duquette PAT makes it 7-6 WHS.

Amelia's Barger takes opening kickoff 90 yards for touchdown. Unsportsmanlike penalty for premature celebration but the TD stands and it's 6-0 Amelia.

Wilmington and Amelia just a few minutes from kickoff. I'd like to take this time to congratulate CLinton County Sports Hall of Famers Ron Grove and Lisa Eichelberger Arehart who are at tonight's game. Lisa is the mother of WHS quarterback Brandon and Grove is a member of the WHS chain gang. Congrats to both of you. OTher Hall of Famers are Roger Barber, Ralph Robinson, David Wagenseller, Doug Zeigler, Chester "Red" Wilson and Mickey Vanscoy.

Amelia gave the WHS basketball team its only FAVC loss last season, so there is some small bit of revenge in this one, though, WHS did defeated Amelia in the second basketball meeting.
