Wilmington 60, Walnut Hills 49 Cane claims outright FAVC Cardinal title. Kirby Seeger came off the bench to lead the Hurricane with 14 points. Quinten Rollins had a big 4th quarter and finished with 13. Jordan Berlin added 11. Cane now 16-4 overall, 9-1 in FAVC Cardinal. WHS 38, Walnut Hills 34 after 3. The Eagles are pesky. Rollins made a late coast to coast dash to give WHS a 4 pt lead at the final buzzer. Dylan Kremer had 5 pts in a short order to keep Walnut Hills in it. It should be an exciting 4th quarter. ------- WHS 22, Walnut Hills 19 at the half. Seeger led WHS with 9. Rollins 2 pts and 2 fouls. ------- WIlmigton 9, Walnut Hills 9 after one. Heard had 4 to lead WHS. Rollins sat much of the period with 2 fouls and 0 points. ------- OLR willl be at Lebanon HS Feb. 15 for the Hurricane tournament game against either Dayton Carroll or Thurgood Marshall, the former Colonel White. Those 2 teams will face off Monday night at Lebanon with the winner going on to meet Wilmington. Joe Petrocelli of Alter and Mike Gordon of Alter, formerly of Waynesville, are here scouting the Hurricane. ------- Senior night tonight at Wilmington, which is wrapping up so the varsity game will start at about 7:35 p.m. Pregame coming up. ------- The Wilmington High School boys basketball team goes for the outright FAVC Cardinal Division title tonight against Walnut Hills. Hopefully, my blog will work during the game, after a one-game absence because of technical difficulties at Miami Trace Tuesday.
