PETTISVILLE - Andrew Koch's goal was the difference in a boys soccer match as visiting Ottoville (9-1-2) beat Pettisville 1-0 on Saturday. Garrett Rayman had 4 saves for the Big Green.
KALIDA 1, DEFIANCE 0: Kalida won on an own goal from Defiance in nonleague play. The Wildcats are 11-1.

CONVOY--The eighth annual PEPSI Lady Knight Invitational was held on Saturday with the Marion Local Flyers coming away as the champion of the eight team field by defeating the Celina Lady Bulldogs. Marion Local defeated Edison and Ottawa-Glandorf to reach the championship game. Celina defeated Crestview and Fort Recovery. Other participants in the tournament included Old Fort and Norwalk St. Paul. The all-tournament team for the invitational included Emily Stewart of Edison; Hannah Livengood of Norwalk St. Paul; Cenzie Yoder and Kelsey Waterman of Celina; Alyssa Winner and Shelby Moeller of Marion Local; and Kelsey Nedderman of Crestview was named tournament MVP.

COLUMBUS GROVE 3, CONTINENTAL 0: Columbus Grove raised its record to 16-0 with the 25-6, 25-13, 25-7 win. Morgan Kohls had 8 aces, 16 points and 13 digs for Grove and Jena Diller had 6 kills. Miranda Boecker had 3 aces for Continental (0-15).
TITANS GO 1-2: Ottawa-Glandorf defeated Old Fort 25-18, 25-11 but lost to Norwalk St. Paul 26-24 and Marion Local 25-23, 25-14 in the Crestview Invitational. Kori Bruns had 21 kills on the day for the Titans (10-4). Marion Local (16-2) beat Ottawa-Glandorf 25-23, 25-14, Milan Edison 25-20, 30-28 and Celina 25-13, 20-25, 25-20. Alyssa Winner had 29 kills and Jessica Schwieterman had 42 digs.
VAN WERT INVITATIONAL: Kalida finished as Runner-Up at the Van Wert Invitational falling to Findlay in 3 games 25-22, 16-25, 15-25. Kalida defeated St. Mary's 25-20, 25-21 and Van Wert 25-13, 25-20. Kalida improves to 15-2 on the season. Leading the Ladycats for the day was Jess Knueve's 22 kills and 3 aces. Ashley Remlinger added 21 kills and 9 aces. Trisha Horstman had 9 kills, Julia Fuerst had 8 kills and Amy VonderEmbse dished out 34 assists. Emily Turnwald had 22 assists and Stacie Heitmeyer had 26 digs and 5 aces. Kalida travels to Leipsic on Thursday at 6:00 in a key PCL match.
Van Wert defeated Elida 2-0, Miller City defeated Elida 2-1 and St. Marys defeated Elida 2-1 at the Van Wert tri-match. Shawnee defeated Miller City and Van Wert 2-1 but fell to Findlay 2-0.
Jill Pijka had 62 assists for Shawnee. Kearston Smith had 46 assists on the day for Elida.

ANTWERP, PAULDING compete at ARCHBOLD INVITE
Kidron Central Christian defeated Otsego 25-21, 21-15 to capture the Archbold Spiktacular volleyball tournament. Archbold finished in fourth place, Antwerp fifth, Tinora sixth, Hilltop seventh and Paulding eighth.
Mickae Schlatter of Antwerp was the only VW-Area player selected to the all-tourney team.

VERSAILLES GIRLS, LEHMAN CATHOLIC BOYS WIN: Versailles' girls squad won the Botkins Invitational with 37 points while Spencerville followed with 81. Lehman Catholic's boys won with 60, New Bremen followed with 62.
Beth Zimpfer, of Jackson Center, won the girls race in 20:07 while Spencerville's Lyndie Brown was fourth in 20:38.
Tyler Roeth, of Houston, won the boys race in 17:04; Doug Ranley of St. Henry was second in 17:26.
LINCOLNVIEW competes at EDGERTON CC INVITE
The Lincolnview Cross Country teams traveled to Edgerton on Saturday. The varsity girls won the meet for the 2nd consecutive year beating out Liberty Center by 7 points. The Lady Lancers were paced by 3 top 20 finishes. Casey Patterson ran a career best time of 20:51 to place 5th overall. Taylar Boroff placed 11th, and Karissa Burns placed 18th to take home individual honors. Rounding out the top scorers were Laura Niederprum (25th), Taylor Fries (26th), and Brittany Katalenas (29th). "The girls ran very well today considering that our top runner, Taylor Fries, was not 100%. The rest of the team really stepped up today and that is something that the girls should be very proud of. It feels good to defend our win from last year with a new team."
The boys team placed 6th in the field of 16. They were led by a top finish from Seth Wisener who ran his career best time of 17:04 and placed 4th overall. Also in the top 20 was Jordan Simpson who placed 18th. Rounding out the scoring for the boys was Kyle Thatcher (37th), Austin Kayser (52nd), and Joseph Shoppell (76th). "It was good to see Seth run well today. He just missed one of his season goals which is to run in the 16s. He has set himself up well though for the end of the season. The boys also had some individual performances that were steps in the right direction as we head toward the conference and the state tournament.
The Jr. High girls place 3rd overall and were led by Kaylee Thatcher (11th) and Haley McAbee (12th). Rounding out the top 5 for Lincolnview were Christine Stemen, Taylor Miller, and Kaitlyn Brant. The boys placed 5th and were paced by Austin Treesh with a 5th place finish in a time of 11:43. He was followed by Jeff Jacomet, Brooks Ludwig, Ben Bilimek, and Angelo Katalenas.
