BAseball in the SHL

I know it's kind of early but what are people's thoughts of baseball in the SHL this year.

Well WhoKnows...you right it is pretty early to talk baseball since it is basketball season. But I look for Lynchburg to be atop the big school division with Eastern and north adams and west union finishing it off. The small school division I see Fayettevile winning it with Whiteoak, Fairfield, and Manchester following them. And look for a competetive game with Lynchburg vs. Fayetteville and both teams returning a majority of their starters.

I do look forward to this season.  It will be a season with some new teams taking the top spots.  Being with Eastern for most of my life, I'm not so sure they will be able to overcome the rest of the league and be near the top for another year.  I do think that North Adams will be a fairly decent team, but I don't think that will be as good of a team either.  They have lost a good chunk of players.  Lynchburg and Fayetteville will more than likely be at the top once again.  Williams(FV) and Stegbaur(LC) will both contribute to the majority of their wins.  Also, Overstreet will play a huge role in the wins for FV.  West Union should be able to make their way up to the top this year.  I don't think they will clinch the number one spot, but I do think they will be better than what they were last year.  They have their whole team coming back with the exception of 2-3 players.  They did not lose any pitchers that I am aware of.  With Price and Grooms returning for their pitching staff they should put up a pretty fair fight against other teams.  As for other teams in the league, I don't think their will be much.  White Oak lost two key players that I am aware of(Nicely to Hillsboro and Barr graduated).  With the exception of Fayetteville and Lynchburg, look forward to seeing some shocking teams this year.  It will definitely be a different turnout than last year.

I don't think that Manchester will be able to compete with the SHL this year, either.  They are a very young team and will have trouble competing with experienced teams.  Ripley on the other hand, might not do so bad.  I believe they only lost one key player and that was their pitcher.  I'm not able to remember his name right at this moment.  Fairfield will be a fairly decent team as will coming into the season with a strong pitching staff(Seitz and Lawwell).  I look forward to seeing them be a good team for the next season as well.
