Blanchester needs head coach

Nick Inabnitt, who led Blanchester to a 12-1 record this past season, is leaving the school  to take the assistant principal job at Goshen High School. See story under Southwest Region, Clinton County, Blanchester football.

For those who played for or against Inabnitt or knew him, your thoughts.

I've known Nick Inabnitt for about 11 years and I know that this was probably the most difficult decision he has ever had to make.  He is a great coach and a fantastic leader that will be sorely missed at Blanchester. I wish him the very best and I can't wait to see him back on the sidelines regardless of the colors he's wearing. 

By the way......Blanchester will be fine without him. They have a strong group of senior leadership that will carry them through the 2007 football season and the remaining staff is very capable of carrying on the winning ways for Blanchester. 

As far as the head coaching position, I'm sure there will be a promotion from within if the guy I'm thinking of wants it. However, the job will open and close as soon as possible to ensure proper guidance for the football program.

I agree 100% that Inabnit is a great head coach. However I do believe that he was a large part to the success of the Blanchester football program. I am willing to bet that Blan's football program will be sorely hurt without him as head coach, in the favor of Goshen where he will find a coaching position open to him regardless of what may have been printed in Blan. Welcome back to Goshen sir!
