Which schools have the best home field/stadium in the area?
Fairmont has a recently-refurbished stadium with field turf. Centerville has a great location and just put in the turf prior to last season.
I also like Fairborn's stadium. It's nestled in behind the district's junior high (former high school) and you actually have to go through the school's gymnasium onto the roof to get to the press box...

Fairmont is a great place. OLR did the Blanchester playoff game there with Jonathan Alder and what a facility. I like Cedarville's setup with the tailgating leading to the field. Wilmington has a nice setting but the stands are old and crumbling. Kings new digs is wonderful, too, a first class setup all the way around.

New Richmond's and King's facilities are top notch, (its good to have a lil money or a very generous donator)... I may be bias but I think for a small school EC has a very nice field both stands could use some refurbishing other than that good facilities.

What part of EC is good? The field has poor drainage, is unlevel and lacks good care. It does look nicer now that the white fence is their. The trees make a nice atmosphere though.

Leescreek, you have to be kidding, That is called a crown on the field, it drains better than any field in the county and most surrounding other than turf. With the tennis courts, new weight room, and they say new stadium lights before next season, the entire facility is very nice. Not to forget the fence. The boosters and many volunteers from the communities have created a very nice facility.

Kings has a really nice field now. Miami Trace is pretty nice too other then the fact that U have to sit so far away from the field on the home side. As for EC not sure how anyone could complain. Place looks pretty good if you ask me plus they will have new lights come this fall.

xenia, I was a bit harsh.
True, it isn't that bad by any means, and it looks nice for sure. The lights will be a much needed improvement.
I know what a crown is, and know its purpose. The field has some "peaks and valleys" though and this season was really hard on it because of all of the rainy games. The superior fields are level and have nice drainage systems. I realize that would be way too expensive though for a school like EC....now the gym at EC is pretty bad...especially the lighting.

I too miss being able to be on the track during the football games. Walking around it watching to football games on Friday nights was the best. When the fence was first put up it was estimated that EC would host alot more playoff games than it has, not only ec playoff games but anyother first round games. Which if one was host every year or every other year it would but a good revenue. EC unfortunetly has no power to bring the play off games to the school besides to make it as appealing as possible, which to beating it took this year most first round games were moved to artificial grass.

Yeah, it's getting to the point where people in Kettering can say "Center - Who?"

Sorry but Fairmont still can't hold a candle to Centerville. Fairmont has made a lot of great improvements and I like the fact that it is a very old facility (70 yrs.?) that has been nicely updated but Centerville still blows it out of the water! In the Cincy area, Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy is great, at least on the home side. The visitor's side leaves something to be desired, but for a small school it's a really nice facility. Kings is nice for a larger Cincy school, but New Richmond is really the best one in Cincy I have seen.
