Does EC have what it takes to make a comeback

Personally I believe that EC is CAPABLE of winning thier last seven ball games. I have watched them play and I have seen traces of a good football team. I think thier one problem is the numbers. They don't seem to be able to get the kids a breather. I believe that they are a good team and I want your opinion. Let me hear how you feel about the players the staff and the outcome of thier season.

Untill EC finds themselves they will not win very many ballgames. Untill they find an identity they will not when very many ballgames. And untill they can get the kids to come out and play ball they will not win very many ballgames. I think the EC we all saw in the past couple of years starting i 2002 i believe, those teams are in the past they are gone. Those teams new on friday night whether they were a smashmouth football team or a team that aired it out. The EC i seen on the field friday night doesn't know what they want to do thats why we have all seen such erratic play calling. Now before you reflect, on my post remember i am  biased because i am a cm fan, but i think it will be 5- 10 years before ec gets the good numbers again to even compete with the teams they are playing.

I don't know that the Astros can win their last 7. Against CM last week I saw glimpses of a good team, but consistency is not there. And you guys are right, the numbers need to get better before they will win regularly. They have some very good players, just not enough of them to compete with the better teams on the schedule. As for the 5 to 10 years part, I don't know. Will they win 7 or 8 games before that, I would say yes. Can they win 7 or 8 games consistently before then, I don't know. Consistent winning has not been a part of the EC football history in the past. I remember after their first unbeaten season, they didn't have more than 35 kids or so come out the next year. You would have thought an unbeaten season would start some excitement, but Herb Mihalik had a terrible time getting any more kids than usual out for the team. That's when I felt EC would likely never win consistently, I mean winning record or better for 3 or 4 years in a row.

Ec will not ever be a conistnet team, and that leads back to the whole identity thing, take Clinton Massie, and even blanchester for an example. Up till last year maybe the year before massie was a smash mouth take you to the ground every play team. Then the last two years they still were bu they had alittle excitment with sarg and frey and there not the only ones but without those two i think they would just been the same old falcons wishbone team. Blan has always been a running team. I dont know why EC can't get players they have a peewee program and last i check they do an outstanding job coaching those kids up. So i dont know were the loose the kids at if its to other schools or if they just dont play. Now Mark, at massie as you know everybody is at the same location from kindergarden up, at ec is there diffrent junior highs and high schools theses kids get split off too or is it just a lack of intrest thing?
