OK ex, I guess I have to go back and read your previous posts. Now u got my curiosity up. Glad to hear your still a fan.
Z....you got me confused. in your first paragraph you say you're off to work, then you tell ex he can find you at the local watering hole. I'm sure you meant "after work" right?

i've known you for a long time and never knew you to visit watering holes...LOL
also Z...as much as it pains me to agree with you, you're absolutely right about that school across the county. Their programs are improving every year and I think that's the key. A good head coach works to improve the "program". The coaching during the season part is just the icing on the cake. Someone mentioned earlier that the coach's are evaluated at the end of each year, The first Question should be is the "program" any better now than it was this time last year and the 2nd

should be what did you do as a coach to improve the "program",,,third

is what plans and/or goals do you have to improve the program for next year. I"m not talking major improvements but if you improve on the little things each year that will add up over time.
and that goes for any sport and any head coach. If the AD and Principle are content with the status quo and not interested in improving things then that's a problem. The whole reason sports are in school are because someone, somewhere thought that the kids benifited by playing sports in area's such as discipline, working together as a team, being around leaders that show what hard work and dedication can do for you after school. Learning how to win and lose gracefully.
Massie has made alot of improvements in their schools and the athletic programs are only a part of those improvements. congrats to them. they've raised the bar now its time for us to do the same.
