All being said, just because some girls have to talk trash, there are girls out there who don't talk like that... I know when I was in high school i didn't - for any other reason than i didn't want to have to do the laps for it. Maybe it is a tough-girl mentality. As for female soccer players talking worse than boys ... i wouldn't quite go that far... I have heard some pretty foul things as a sports editor covering all athletic events, and most of it comes from the guys.

Re:trash talk - 2006/09/02 01:54 The thing with soccer is, it is supposed to be an automatic card for language. I had a college teammate get booted with a red card for cursing at a ref. I have to admit, i have lost it in games too and said some pretty nasty things. But I hear it everywhere. Volleyball, soccer, track, football. Trust me, you hear some pretty nasty things on the sidelines. You just have to take the good with the bad. if it is your kid, set them straight. My momma always did and still does. just don't classify an entire group of athletes from what you hear from certain players... becaues there are many who don't talk trash - just like in every other sport

Re:trash talk - 2006/09/02 03:51 All the trash talk about athletes swearing, bad mouthing, etc.. the refs need to take control when these athletes do this.. Why do they turn the other cheek, when you know they heard their foul mouth?
Refs do let the game get out of hand, period.. I have seen refs call games bad for both teams.. oh well.. life goes on, right?

Re:trash talk - 2006/09/06 22:22 I think when it comes to girls instead of fights like what a lot of the boy tend to do they trash talk more. Not every team is like that though.
