hiring a local person was a smart move as fayetteville has been through a lot of coaches over the years. does anyone have an exact number over the past 20 years or so?
i pulled up the marietta web page the other day and saw that chadwell is getting limited playing time, is his knee 100%? i was surprised to see that jordan cox of west union was a starter logging big minutes and scoring in double figures. i would have thought that if chadwell is healthy he would get more minutes than cox. west union had a big kid named bennington last year, does anyone know where he ended up? i also heard that southern state cc was down to about 8 players because of grades. i would think they would be looking for some local players for the second semester.
is cunningham from western brown injured or is he just having a hard time scoring? i didn't see his name in the last box score i saw.
speaking of box scores is there somewhere to find sbc or shl box scores on a regular basis? without the shl and sbc website it is hard to keep up with what is going on. i am surprised c103 doesn't have some sort of web site.
how much longer will western brown stay in the sbc? they are d1 and still growing, will they try to find a new league in the near future? or will the league push them out as they continue to grow?
the justice kid from peebles has caused quite a stir in the shl. in his first varsity game he threw in 46 and in another game he hit for 35 or 36. quite an accomplishment for a freshman. i am sure after those performances he has become a marked man.
the shl seems to be very balanced in both divisions this year, however, north adams has jumped out early and seems to be the best team in the entire league. in the small division it seems like any of the five could win it, however, it could come down to how the small schools do against the big schools in their one round against the bigger schools. way too early to predict a small school favorite.
gtown could very easily win the small division again this year but i don't think they will go undefeated in the league. although i think cne or western brown are the only teams that should beat them.
