SCOL girls soccer - 2006/08/24 02:51 Is anyone else glad the SCOL and its member schools have finally made girls soccer a league sport? I really hated that a team that I helped found was left out in the cold last year (Massie that is)

Re:SCOL girls soccer - 2006/08/24 18:50 I am thrilled that we have SCOL girls soccer. It has been a very positive experience for the Lady Lions. They have a great group of girls (29 young ladies)and an awesome coach. Good luck to all SCOL teams and Go Blue!!

Re:SCOL girls soccer - 2006/08/31 06:40 I'm glad to see it also, since the London girls now have a set schedule, goals to shoot for, etc. Since London has a team of mostly Sophmores, I'll predict a league championship in the next 2 years. (Bold statement, huh?)

Re:SCOL girls soccer - 2006/08/31 14:56 WCH looks to have a good girls team. They're 2-0, and have a lot of leadership in their Seniors.

Re:SCOL girls soccer - 2006/09/05 22:05 WCH is now 2-0-1 they tied Hillsboro which is a big tie for them. This might be their first year but they have a good amount of talent.

Re:SCOL girls soccer - 2006/09/06 18:56 WCH was very impressive for a first year team as they have a lot of talent and they are well coached. Hillsboro has the powerhouse if players were played in the right positions. Coaching was a major factor in the tie between WCH and Hillsboro. If I had the three man (women) front (Rhoads, Boester, Holt) that Hillsboro had I would not confuse it with another forward, but use that third person to help out their lacking defense. That forward trio is unstopable if fed the ball and not made to play offense and then run back to help the defense. What is the coach thinking?

Re:SCOL girls soccer - 2006/09/08 04:41 S. Rhoades (one of their captains) didn't start and only played part of the game, but still scored 2 goals and assisted 3 or 4 more.

Re:SCOL girls soccer - 2006/09/18 00:25 Hillsboro 4 Eastern 1. First half Hillsboro down 1 -0, Offense confusion with 4 forwards and defense beat again. When you have 4 forwards, guess what, you have 5 defenders and you have nothing but people in front of the goal. Great Coaching change at half, went to 3 forwards and sent the 4th forward back to help midfield and denfese. Defense was able to send ball up and Forwawards scored 4 goals in second half. This is where they need to be for post season play.
